I have been sleeping on my parents’ bed for these 2 days, and this afternoon i tried to take a nap there. I couldn’t get to sleep easily because i remember the room was too hot, and my blanket was keeping my body too hot. I lowered the blanket to under my waist and went into sleep.
I began to have this dream of some kind of chasing going on a bridge like thing. And they actually have someone there and he was teaching me you can press the blue dash button on the ps controller to pass that course. Funny because in the dream i felt like i was really doing a kind of obstacle course physically, not like in a game. It was a bridge like thing in the middle of a jungle at night.
Next i was on the end of the bridge and i met my oldest cousin, and he seems to be on the run, i was telling him how i saw him on the news apparently he is being pursued by the police for something, and they had reported it on Channel NewsAsia all day. It was only for a small thing, and i told him i don’t know why they had to repeat the news like all day, with his picture in the box beside the newscaster, just for something trivial, which i forgot what.
Next was a very vividly clear high quality video on YouTube lol. My whole dream was a YouTube screen, and i was watching this video of a 60s 70s? Chinese wedding, and it happens to star…. tada! my father, the woman in the video is apparently not my mother though, as i had this strong impression in the dream, but later i’m more convinced the woman it’s my mom. They were wearing 60 70s style casual clothes. He had his arms around her shoulder and was taking poses. The bride was really short and tiny, my mom is kinda tiny too but not as tiny as this, the husband was really towering over her. Then the video went to the relatives who were there, i saw my 2nd uncle, and my elder brother, who was wearing a jacket and being all cool haha Then i looked at the title of video it says something like Wedding1078Chinese, not a very good title. Then i saw it has 9,000,000 views already! Gosh, i can’t believe my parents’ old wedding video would get so many views, it seems unreal. Then i checked when it’s been posted, it was early 2008, maybe i saw 1 April 2008, that would make it April fools right? haha.
Anyway I am once again amazed at what my brain could do when i am not awake. How it picks up things from my everyday life like watching the news, PlayStation, YouTube and seeing this old picture of my mom posing with her family when she was like 6-10 yrs old, and of course sleeping in my parents’ room and bed. It all together made an automatic (albeit rather quirky) short film. And what was amazing was the quality of the dream was so real, so vivid, infact it was even more real than real life. I hope i get to dream more soon, and remember more about the dream when i wake up.
